A Dubai-based gaming startup has secured $10 million in funding to develop a cloud gaming infrastructure based on blockchain technology.

The company, known as The Game Company, has built a platform that allows users to play games from PC or consoles on any device, anywhere in the world, without lag. This is made possible by the company’s patented low-latency proprietary technology.

The Game Company has already been testing its system with early adopters and has partnered with other companies, including Aethir, a provider of decentralized GPU-based compute infrastructure. Aethir uses underutilized graphics processing units to provide computing power for AI and blockchain applications.

The company’s approach differs from Aethir’s, which focuses on using underutilized GPUs to provide computing power for AI and blockchain applications. The Game Company, on the other hand, uses proprietary ultra-low latency technology.

The funding will be used to further develop the company’s cloud gaming infrastructure. The company was officially registered in December 2022, but its development began in January 2022. It has a staff of 84 full-time, part-time, and consulting employees.

The company believes that its cloud gaming infrastructure has the potential to provide ease of access to emerging technologies, not just for games, but also for broader retail markets, particularly in developing areas such as Asia Pacific and Latin America.
