Samsung Galaxy S25 FE tipped for selfie upgrade

Samsung is reportedly planning an upgrade for the front-facing camera on its expected Galaxy S25 FE smartphone. The phone, which is part of the S25 lineup, may come equipped with a 12-megapixel selfie camera.

This potential change would be an increase from the 10-megapixel camera featured on recent FE models. The higher resolution is expected to lead to improved photo quality for users.

The 12-megapixel front camera resolution matches that found on Samsung’s flagship S25 devices. However, it is not yet known how the actual performance and quality of the S25 FE’s front camera will compare, as the FE series is typically positioned as a more budget-friendly option.

Details about the rear camera system for the S25 FE are currently unavailable. The prior S24 FE model included a triple camera setup on the back, featuring a 50-megapixel main lens, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens.

Previous reports have indicated that the S25 FE might use the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 processor. This choice is believed to stem from production issues with Samsung’s in-house chip development. The MediaTek processor is considered a powerful component.

The potential release period for the Galaxy S25 FE is currently anticipated to be in the latter half of 2025.
