Samsung SmartTag 2 Drops to Just $18 on Amazon

The Galaxy SmartTag 2 is a Bluetooth tracker designed to help users locate misplaced items such as keys or phones. The device operates within the Samsung ecosystem.

Currently, the single-pack version of the Galaxy SmartTag 2 is available at a reduced price online, marked down significantly from its original price. A multi-pack containing four trackers is also offered at a lower cost compared to purchasing four individual units at the standard price.

Released in late 2023, the Galaxy SmartTag 2 features several improvements over earlier models. It has an updated elliptical design with a larger, more durable keyhole ring, making it easier to attach to various items like bags and keychains. The tracker remains small and light. It also possesses an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, making it suitable for outdoor use or attachment to pets.

Battery performance has also been enhanced. The SmartTag 2 can function for up to 500 days under normal use and potentially up to 700 days when using a power-saving mode. The device uses a replaceable CR2032 battery, which is straightforward to change.

The SmartTag 2 incorporates Ultra-Wideband (UWB) technology. This allows for precise finding and location tracking through a “Search Nearby” feature that includes an augmented reality compass mode. This precise tracking function requires pairing with a compatible UWB-enabled Galaxy smartphone. Additionally, the tracker includes a built-in speaker that can emit a sound to aid in locating the tag using the “Ring your tag” function. It can also trigger a paired smartphone or tablet to ring if the user has the tag but has misplaced their phone or tablet.
