Thinnest Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Launches in Indonesia

A new smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Edge, has been launched in the Indonesian market. The device is presented as the company’s thinnest model to date. It measures 5.8mm thick and weighs 163 grams.

The camera system on this phone features two lenses. It includes a 200-megapixel wide lens and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens with autofocus capability. Although it does not have a dedicated telephoto lens, the device supports 10 times zoom.

For display protection, the Galaxy S25 Edge is the first phone to use Corning Gorilla Victus 2, providing good screen resistance. The construction of the phone’s body incorporates titanium material.

The device is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. This chipset is stated to maintain optimal performance without noticeable performance drops.

The battery capacity of the S25 Edge is 3900mAh, which is the lowest capacity among the Galaxy S25 series models. Despite this, the phone is reported to have high battery durability. Comparing it to the Galaxy S25 Plus during continuous video playback, the S25 Edge reportedly runs out of power only about an hour sooner.

This efficiency is attributed to several factors: the power-efficient 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, an increased vapor chamber for heat management, and optimizations in the One UI 7 software for power management. The device is also capable of handling heavy tasks, including demanding AI features, without significant heat issues.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is offered in two main storage options. The configuration with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage is priced at IDR 19.499 million. A higher capacity version featuring 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage is available for IDR 21.499 million.
