nubia has officially introduced two new flagship devices to the Malaysian market: the nubia Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition smartphone and the nubia Pad Pro tablet. Both products are positioned to deliver high performance and advanced features for users seeking professional-level imaging and productivity.

The nubia Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition is presented as a flagship smartphone focused on advanced mobile photography. Central to its capabilities is a fifth-generation Neo Master 35mm custom optical system. According to the specifications, this system delivers a 40 percent increase in brightness compared to previous models. The device uses an Omnivision “Light & Shadow Master 990” sensor, offering a 50-megapixel resolution with a 1/1.3-inch sensor size and 1.2-micron pixel size. The sensor integrates quad-phase detection autofocus, dual conversion gain high dynamic range (HDR) technology, and other technical enhancements intended to improve image quality in a wide range of shooting conditions.

The device supports optical image stabilization (OIS) and features an f/1.7 large aperture lens with an infrared filter. It also includes a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto lens capable of macro shots as close as 15 centimeters, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle macro lens. For photography enthusiasts, the Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition comes with professional controls, including a mechanical shutter button with dual-stage control for precise shooting.

AI capabilities are a major highlight, enabling functions such as motion capture for fast-moving subjects, a classic film tone for creative effects, and specialized features like AI-powered sunset and night sky modes. The device supports various professional photography accessories, including a retro-style case, smart camera control bar, and filter adapter rings, enhancing its versatility for serious photography.

The smartphone features a full-screen display using nubia’s latest Under Display Camera technology, without any punch holes or notches, aiming for a seamless viewing experience. The display uses the company’s Longxi Glass for durability and clarity.

Performance is driven by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, paired with high-speed LPDDR5X memory and UFS 4.0 storage. The phone supports a 144Hz screen refresh rate and a 2500Hz touch sampling rate. With enhancements for gaming, such as AI visuals and frame boosting, the device is also aimed at mobile gamers who require smooth and responsive performance.

Battery technology in the Z70S Ultra Photographer Edition is also upgraded. It uses a 6600mAh battery with silicon-carbon anode material, which is designed to maintain stable performance even at low temperatures. The device offers an offline communication feature, supporting long-distance voice calls in areas without network coverage.

Design elements include a narrow bezel, a Flowing Red Ring motif, a vacuum dual-film camera lens module, and a three-dimensional micro-etched glass finish that simulates leather texture. The device incorporates an AI-powered customizable sliding button for quick access to key functions.
