Infinix HOT 60 Series Launches in Malaysia with AI and 5G
Infinix has launched its latest HOT 60 Series smartphones in Malaysia, introducing two new models—the HOT 60 5G and HOT 60i—targeted at young consumers seeking performance, design, and intelligence in an affordable package. The release is positioned to deliver high-value features, smarter connectivity, and modern aesthetics, aiming to compete strongly in Malaysia’s crowded mid-range smartphone market.
The Infinix HOT 60 5G and HOT 60i are designed with slim and lightweight frames, measuring 7.8mm and 7.7mm thick, respectively. Both devices feature a 6.7-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 700 nits, delivering smooth visuals and clear images even in bright outdoor settings. The HOT 60 5G is available in Sleek Black, Shadow Blue, Tundra Green, and Caramel Glow—a premium finish using vegan leather. The HOT 60i offers a wider range of colour choices, including Sleek Black, Titanium Silver, Neon Red, Shadow Blue, and Soul Eye Purple, catering to users who want their device to reflect their personality.
In terms of hardware, the HOT 60 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 5G chipset. This processor, with an AnTuTu benchmark score of over 500,000, places the device at the upper end of its price segment for raw performance. It is supported by a 5200mAh battery, designed for long hours of gaming and streaming, and features an Enhanced Esports Pro Engine that supports games such as Free Fire at up to 90FPS. The HOT 60i uses the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate chipset and has a 5160mAh battery, which supports 45W fast charging. According to the manufacturer, the battery is built for long-term durability, retaining at least 80% of its original health after five years of daily use. Both models are designed to handle the demands of mobile gaming, video streaming, and multitasking.
A key differentiator for the HOT 60 Series is the integration of artificial intelligence features. Both devices include an Adaptive One-Tap AI Button, which provides instant access to on-screen assistance and can be customised as a shortcut to frequently used apps. The button activates Folax, Infinix’s voice assistant, and serves as an entry point to the phones’ broader AI ecosystem. Features such as AI Sketch to Image and AI Text to Image enable users to convert basic drawings or text prompts into AI-generated art and wallpapers. The AI Writing and AI Summary features help users create clearer written content and condense long documents or voice notes into key points.
The HOT 60 5G includes additional AI functions. The AI Vogue Portraits mode applies stylised effects to portrait photographs, and the Circle It, Search It feature lets users highlight any part of the screen to trigger an instant AI-powered search, making information retrieval fast and intuitive.
For sharing and connectivity, the HOT 60 Series supports NFC Touch Transfer for easy file sharing and UltraLink Free Call, a feature that allows users to communicate even when there is no mobile network coverage—particularly useful in emergencies or remote locations. Both models are rated IP64 for dust and water resistance, increasing their durability for outdoor use or travel.
Infinix has also announced a collaboration with Unifi Mobile, offering the HOT 60 5G for free to customers who sign up for the UNI5G Postpaid plan. This partnership is designed to attract value-seeking customers, as the plan includes unlimited 5G and 4G data for continuous connectivity. Additionally, a RM10 monthly discount is available for customers with an active Unifi Home subscription, subject to terms and conditions.
Sales for both models begin on July 10, 2025, and are available through Infinix’s official online stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, as well as through Infinix brand stores and authorised dealers. The HOT 60 5G, which comes with 256GB of storage and 8GB of RAM, is priced at RM599. The HOT 60i, with the same storage and memory configuration, is priced at RM499. Both models are positioned as accessible options for consumers looking for advanced features and robust performance at a modest price.
