Blackview GamiBook 8 Launches With Ryzen 7 APU and 16 Inch Display

Blackview has expanded its product portfolio beyond rugged smartphones and tablets with the launch of the GamiBook 8, a new laptop targeting productivity and creative professionals. The device is now available through the company’s official online store starting at $779, with shipping costs, taxes and potential import fees charged separately.
The GamiBook 8 features a 16-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 by 1200 pixels and a 16:10 aspect ratio. The screen delivers a maximum brightness of 330 nits and achieves an 88 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display hinge design allows the laptop to open flat at 180 degrees, enabling the device to lay completely flat on surfaces when needed.
At the heart of the laptop sits an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor, an eight-core sixteen-thread chip manufactured on a 6-nanometer process. The processor can reach burst frequencies up to 4.75 GHz and includes 4MB of L2 cache combined with 16MB of L3 cache. Graphics processing is handled by the integrated AMD Radeon 680M GPU, which shares the processor die.
Memory configurations include either 16GB or 32GB of DDR5 RAM running at 4800 MHz in dual-channel mode. Blackview has made the memory expandable up to 64GB for users requiring additional capacity. Storage options consist of either 512GB or 1TB M.2 2280 PCIe solid-state drives, with support for TF card expansion up to 2TB for external storage needs.
The chassis measures approximately 14.2 by 9.6 by 0.75 inches and weighs 1.8 kilograms or roughly 4 pounds. Blackview constructed the body from metal with a sandblasted anodized finish designed to provide durability while maintaining a professional appearance suitable for business environments.
Connectivity options are comprehensive for a laptop in this price range. The device includes two full-featured USB Type-C ports, HDMI 2.1 output, one USB 2.0 Type-A port, and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports. Additional connectivity comes from a TF card slot and a 3.5mm audio jack. Wireless capabilities include Wi-Fi 6 support based on IEEE 802.11ax standards and Bluetooth 5.2.
Security features include a built-in fingerprint sensor for biometric authentication and quick device unlocking. The laptop ships with Windows 11 preinstalled and includes a 1-megapixel front-facing webcam with 720p resolution for video conferencing needs.
Power comes from a 57-watt-hour battery supported by 65-watt fast charging technology through the included power adapter. Blackview claims the battery capacity and charging speeds provide sufficient runtime for mobile work scenarios without frequent recharging interruptions.
The GamiBook 8 also features dual stereo speakers in a box configuration for audio output. The package includes the laptop, power adapter and user manual. Potential buyers should note that warranty service may present challenges depending on their geographic location, as Blackview primarily operates through direct online sales channels.
