Minisforum has officially launched the BD895i SE, a new mini-ITX motherboard featuring the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX processor. The board enters the market at a sale price of $423.90, reduced from its regular price of $529.00, representing a savings of $105.10 for early adopters.

The BD895i SE is built around the AMD Ryzen 9 8945HX, a 16-core processor from the Dragon Range Refresh lineup based on Zen 4 architecture. The chip operates with 32 threads and can reach boost frequencies up to 5.4 GHz, with a thermal design power of 100 watts that extends to 120 watts during maximum turbo operations.

Memory support includes dual DDR5 SO-DIMM slots capable of handling up to 96GB of RAM at 5200 MHz speeds. Storage expansion comes through two M.2 2280 slots supporting PCIe 4.0 x4 interfaces, allowing users to install up to 4TB of total solid-state storage capacity. The board includes an integrated AMD Radeon 610M graphics processor but accommodates discrete graphics cards through a full-speed PCIe 5.0 x16 expansion slot.

Display connectivity enables triple-screen configurations with support for 8K resolution at 60Hz refresh rates through three independent outputs. The rear panel features HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB-C with DisplayPort alternate mode. Network connectivity arrives via a 2.5 gigabit Ethernet port, while USB options include two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports, and one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port.

The compact 170mm by 170mm form factor follows standard mini-ITX dimensions with a board thickness of 1.6mm. Power delivery requires an ATX power supply rated above 200 watts. The package includes a CPU heatsink with a maximum height clearance of 37mm, though cooling fans must be purchased separately. Additional connectivity options feature front panel headers for USB 3.2 Gen 1, audio, and system panel connections, alongside three fan headers for thermal management.

Minisforum offers the BD895i SE exclusively in barebone configuration, requiring separate purchases of memory, storage, and operating system components. The company provides a 30-day return policy and lifetime technical support with standard warranty protection. The motherboard ships with Windows 11 compatibility and is currently available through Minisforum’s official store. Reports suggest the manufacturer may introduce additional models featuring more advanced processors including the AMD Ryzen 9 9955HX3D in future releases.
