Opera Neon Browser Opens to Public for $19.90 Monthly

Opera Neon Browser AI

Opera has launched public access to Opera Neon, an experimental browser designed specifically for artificial intelligence power users. The browser becomes available to the general public on December 13, 2025, following a closed testing phase that began on October 2, 2025.

Opera Neon differs from traditional web browsers by incorporating AI agents that can perform tasks autonomously rather than simply displaying web content. The browser is built on an LLM-agnostic engine that integrates multiple artificial intelligence models into a single workspace, allowing users to access various premium AI services through one subscription.

The browser provides access to several advanced AI models including Gemini 3 Pro, GPT 5.1, Veo 3.1, and Nano Banana Pro. Users can utilize these models through a monthly subscription priced at $19.90, which Opera positions as a cost-effective alternative to maintaining separate subscriptions for multiple AI services.

Opera Neon includes three primary AI agents called Chat, Do, and Make. These agents can handle complex tasks such as booking complete travel itineraries, constructing websites, generating video content, and editing documents without manual intervention. The browser also features ODRA, a deep research agent capable of gathering and synthesizing information on complex topics within approximately one minute while providing source citations.

The platform is currently available for Windows and Mac operating systems. Subscribers also receive access to an exclusive Discord community where they can test new features before wider release and communicate directly with Opera’s development team. The company describes Opera Neon as a testing ground for emerging AI technologies, with significant updates released weekly.

Opera continues to offer free AI features through its mainstream browsers including Opera One, Opera GX, and Opera Air for users who do not require the advanced capabilities available in Opera Neon.
