Gigabyte launches AORUS RTX 5090 AI BOX liquid cooled

GIGABYTE Technology has released the AORUS RTX 5090 AI BOX, the first liquid-cooled external graphics solution powered by the GeForce RTX 5090 GPU. The device is built on NVIDIA’s Blackwell architecture and connects through the Thunderbolt 5 interface, delivering up to 80Gbps of bidirectional bandwidth with 64Gbps dedicated to PCIe Gen4x4 performance. It also provides 100W power delivery for laptops.
The AORUS RTX 5090 AI BOX is designed to transform slim laptops into high-performance machines capable of near-desktop-level graphics. It targets three key areas: gaming, creative workflows, and AI applications. Gamers benefit from higher frame rates and advanced rendering with DLSS 4, while creators can access RTX-accelerated tools optimized through NVIDIA Studio drivers. For AI professionals, the AI BOX offers 32GB of VRAM and more than 3000 AI TOPS, supporting local deployment of advanced tools such as Stable Diffusion, ChatRTX, and NVIDIA NeMo without requiring cloud uploads.
The unit integrates the AORUS WATERFORCE cooling system, which uses a copper base plate, a 240mm aluminum radiator, dual 12cm fans, and a precision water pump. This system cools all major components, maintaining performance and ensuring long-term stability while keeping noise levels low.
The AI BOX also functions as a workstation hub, supporting external displays, input devices, and wired networking through its expansion ports. It provides both data transfer and video output over a single Thunderbolt 5 cable.
The product was first previewed at Computex 2025 and is now officially available. Full specifications and details are listed on the company’s website at Gigabyte.
