Geekom A9 Max launches with Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 power

Geekom has officially launched the A9 Max, a high-performance mini PC designed to meet the evolving needs of both professional and personal computing. The system was made available slightly ahead of its formal August 21, 2025 launch, and is currently offered at a promotional price of $999, down from its standard $1,199.
The A9 Max is built around AMD’s Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, a 12-core, 24-thread chip based on the Zen 5 architecture and manufactured on TSMC’s 4nm FinFET process. It features a hybrid design that combines Zen 5 and Zen 5c cores, delivering up to 5.1 GHz boost speeds with 24 MB of L3 cache and a configurable TDP of up to 54 watts. This architecture improves efficiency while maintaining strong single-threaded and multi-threaded performance, making it suitable for a wide range of professional workloads.

Integrated within the chip is the Radeon 890M GPU, built on AMD’s RDNA 3.5 graphics architecture. With 16 compute units, this graphics solution delivers a level of performance not commonly found in compact PCs, enabling smooth 1080p gaming on modern titles and reliable acceleration for creative applications. Combined with an XDNA 2-based Neural Processing Unit, the system achieves up to 80 TOPS of AI performance, making it capable of running advanced machine learning and AI-enhanced productivity applications locally rather than relying heavily on cloud resources.
The A9 Max comes equipped with 32 GB of DDR5 memory in dual-channel configuration, expandable up to 128 GB. Storage is provided by a 2 TB PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSD, with an additional M.2 slot allowing total expansion up to 8 TB. These specifications give the system ample capacity for large-scale projects and professional content workflows.
Connectivity options are extensive. The mini PC includes two USB4 ports with eGPU support, five USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, a USB 2.0 port, dual 2.5G LAN ports, an SD card reader, and dual HDMI 2.1 outputs. Wireless standards are equally modern, with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 providing high-speed, low-latency connectivity. Support for up to four simultaneous displays at resolutions up to 8K ensures versatility for multitasking and creative workstations.
Geekom has emphasized durability and efficiency in the chassis design. The compact metal build can withstand high pressure without deformation, while the IceBlast 2.0 cooling system uses copper heatsinks, dual heat pipes, and a high-performance fan to maintain stable thermals under sustained workloads. Despite its size of 135 x 132 x 46.9 mm, the system provides desktop-class power and expandability.
The A9 Max ships with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed, includes enterprise-grade security features such as BitLocker and TPM 2.0, and offers compatibility with Linux and virtualization environments. Buyers also receive a three-year warranty and 24/7 support.
