Redragon MPC745 mini PC launches with Ryzen 7 8845HS

Redragon-MPC745-MiniPC

Redragon, a company long recognized for its budget-friendly gaming peripherals, has formally entered the mini PC market with the launch of the MPC745. This compact desktop system introduces a competitive blend of performance and portability, driven by AMD’s latest hardware, and positions itself as a direct challenger to established players in the growing mini PC segment.

At its core, the MPC745 is powered by the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS, an 8-core, 16-thread processor capable of boosting up to 5.1 GHz. Built on the 4nm Zen 4 architecture, the processor integrates an NPU for AI acceleration and pairs with the Radeon 780M integrated GPU. This combination is designed to deliver smooth multitasking, capable 1080p gaming, and accelerated performance in creative workloads, all within a 45W TDP envelope configurable through the BIOS.

The system comes with 16 GB of DDR5-5600 memory in dual-channel configuration, which is upgradeable to 32 GB. Storage is provided by a 1 TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD, with support for expansion up to 4 TB. This balance of memory and storage ensures readiness for demanding productivity tasks, media editing, and modern gaming while keeping upgrade paths open for advanced users.

Despite its small footprint—measuring just 130 × 130 × 42 mm with a weight of only 300 grams—the MPC745 offers a comprehensive set of connectivity features. On the front, users have access to USB 4.0, USB-C 3.2 Gen 2, dual USB-A 3.2 Gen 2, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The rear panel includes HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, dual USB 2.0 ports, a 2.5 Gbps Ethernet port, and DC power input. Wireless connectivity is supported through WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.2, ensuring fast and stable links for both work and entertainment.

Display versatility is another highlight, with support for up to three external monitors. The USB-C 4.0 port allows 4K output at 60 Hz, the HDMI 2.1 port supports up to 8K at 60 Hz, and the DisplayPort 1.4 connection enables refresh rates up to 240 Hz at 4K resolution. This makes the system a flexible solution for workstation setups, gaming environments, or professional content creation requiring multiple displays.

Redragon has priced the MPC745 at $499.99, undercutting competitors such as the Minisforum UM880 Plus and the Geekom A8, while still delivering comparable specifications. The company will initially sell the device exclusively through its own online store, with availability limited to customers in the United States and Canada.
