Maxim launches driver legalization program in Malaysia

Maxim, one of Malaysia’s leading e-hailing companies, has launched a partner-driver legalization program to ensure all drivers on its platform are fully licensed, compliant, and legally authorized. The initiative strengthens the company’s commitment to improving road safety, regulatory alignment, and service quality.
The program introduces a streamlined registration process where drivers must submit valid documents including a PSV license, insurance certificate, PUSPAKOM inspection report, MyKad, and photographs of the vehicle and driver. A trained compliance team manually verifies each submission to ensure authenticity and eligibility.
Maxim has also expanded its education and support resources. Digital registration guides, instructional videos, and real-time notifications help drivers resolve missing or expired documents quickly. To further support compliance, Maxim has partnered with more than 25 driving schools across Malaysia to assist drivers in obtaining PSV and EVP licenses. Eligible drivers may also receive reimbursements for licensing expenses in the form of platform bonus credits.
The company has rolled out an outreach campaign to educate drivers through app notifications, SMS updates, phone support, and in-person events. This effort is aimed at fostering a stronger and more responsible e-hailing community.
Maxim began operations in Malaysia in 2019 with its first ride in Kuantan and now operates nationwide. Its apps, Maxim and Taxsee Driver, rank among the top platforms with millions of users across multiple app stores. The company continues to develop technologies to make transportation and delivery more modern, safe, and accessible while focusing on improving user and driver experience.
