Blackview XPLORE 2 Satellite Debuts With Voice Messaging

Blackview has officially launched the XPLORE 2 Satellite, marking a significant advancement in rugged smartphone technology as the first device in its category to support satellite voice messaging. The phone became available on November 28, 2025, with early bird pricing set at 499.99 dollars, representing a substantial discount from its standard retail price of 729.99 dollars. The promotional period extends through December 12, 2025.
The device leverages a partnership with Skylo to provide GEO satellite communication capabilities, enabling users to send voice messages, text, and precise location coordinates when traditional cellular networks are unavailable. The satellite messaging service costs 0.20 euros per message, which Blackview states is 67 percent cheaper than competing solutions. The technology covers 36 countries across North America, Europe, Asia, South America, Australia, and New Zealand. Recipients can receive messages on regular smartphones without requiring dedicated applications.
Built for extreme environments, the XPLORE 2 Satellite meets military-grade MIL-STD-810H certification alongside IP68 and IP69K ratings. The device can withstand drops from six meters, survive water immersion at two meters depth for 30 minutes, endure temperatures from negative 20 to positive 60 degrees Celsius, and resist crushing forces up to 500 kilograms. The construction features Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and an aluminum-titanium alloy frame within a five-layer ArmorShield structure.
Blackview XPLORE 2 Satellite incorporates a 6.73-inch 3.2K AMOLED display with peak brightness reaching 2,600 nits and an adaptive refresh rate ranging from one to 120 hertz. The screen includes 1,920 hertz PWM dimming and has received TÜV SÜD low blue light certification for eye comfort during extended use.
Camera specifications include dual 50-megapixel Samsung sensors with optical and electronic image stabilization, plus a 20-megapixel Sony night vision camera. The system supports Ultra HDR photography and 4K video recording at 60 frames per second with HDR10 Plus encoding. A 50-megapixel front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls.
Performance comes from the MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset built on a four-nanometer process with cores reaching 3.35 gigahertz. The device offers configurations with 12 gigabytes or 16 gigabytes of LPDDR5X RAM, expandable through software to 48 gigabytes total. Storage options include 256 gigabytes or one terabyte of UFS 4.0 memory, with support for microSD cards up to two terabytes.
The 20,000 milliamp-hour battery represents the largest capacity in the rugged phone category. Blackview claims 36 hours of heavy usage and 75 days of standby time. The 120-watt fast charging system can restore 50 percent capacity in 39 minutes. The device also provides 10 watts of reverse charging capability.
Additional features include dual 467-lumen LED camping lights, WiFi 6E connectivity, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC support, and an infrared remote control function. The XPLORE 2 Satellite becomes the first rugged smartphone to support eSIM technology alongside traditional dual nano-SIM cards.
Software includes DokeOS 4.2 based on Android 15, with Blackview guaranteeing three years of major Android updates. The proprietary Doke AI system integrates voice control capabilities and includes four AI-powered applications for document analysis, image editing, video creation, and music generation.
Malaysian customers can purchase Blackview XPLORE 2 Satellite at an estimated price of RM 2,085.30 during the Black Friday promotion, reduced from 3,077 ringgit. The phone weighs 675 grams and measures 186 by 87.8 by 29 millimeters.
