Acer Reports Strong Q3 2025 Growth Across Key Segments

Acer Inc. announced financial results for the third quarter of 2025, showing consolidated revenues of NT$73.40 billion with 10.3 percent growth from the previous quarter and remaining stable compared to the same period last year. The Taiwan-based technology company demonstrated improved profitability across several financial metrics during the reporting period.
Gross profits reached NT$8.2 billion in the third quarter, marking a 21.7 percent increase from the second quarter and 6.7 percent growth year-over-year, with margins expanding to 11.2 percent. Operating income doubled from the previous quarter to NT$1.51 billion, representing 105.1 percent quarter-on-quarter growth and establishing a 2.1 percent operating margin. Net income totaled NT$1.11 billion with earnings per share of NT$0.37.
For the nine-month period ending September 2025, consolidated revenues reached NT$201.27 billion with 1.3 percent growth compared to the prior year. Gross profits totaled NT$21.40 billion, up 1.6 percent year-over-year with a 10.6 percent margin. Operating income stood at NT$3.28 billion with a 1.6 percent margin, while net income reached NT$2.71 billion and earnings per share totaled NT$0.90.
The company showed strength across its product portfolio, with notebooks growing 10.7 percent year-over-year, desktops rising 33.4 percent, and commercial PCs increasing 24.5 percent. Gaming-related products and businesses expanded 35.9 percent, while Chromebooks grew 9.5 percent. Display products faced headwinds with monitors declining 27.5 percent year-over-year.
Acer continued executing its strategy to diversify beyond traditional computer hardware. Revenues from businesses excluding personal computers and displays contributed 33.6 percent of total group revenues in the third quarter and 31.8 percent for the nine-month period. The company consolidated Posiflex Technology into its financial statements beginning in July 2025.
Geographic performance showed the Europe, Middle East and Africa region accounting for 54.5 percent of revenues, Pan Asia Pacific contributing 22.7 percent, and Pan America representing 22.7 percent of total revenues in the third quarter. The company maintains operations across multiple regions with varied market conditions.
Total assets expanded to NT$252.41 billion as of September 30, 2025, compared to NT$223.77 billion a year earlier. Cash and cash equivalents stood at NT$30.12 billion, while inventories increased to NT$53.73 billion from NT$53.76 billion year-over-year. Total shareholders equity reached NT$95.04 billion, up from NT$81.08 billion in September 2024, with book value per share of NT$24.38 based on 3,006,207,538 outstanding common shares.
Highpoint Service Network, an Acer subsidiary, received approval from the Taipei Exchange listing screening committee and Board of Directors to proceed with its listing application on the Taipei Exchange. This development supports the company’s broader strategy of developing multiple business engines beyond its core computing products.
